Neil Lawrence is the DeepMind Professor of Machine Learning at the University of Cambridge, a Visiting Professor at the University of Sheffield, and Co-host of Talking Machines.

I began work in my current post on 1st October 2019, for the University of Cambridge press release see here.

For some (older … but still relevant I think) public interest articles you can have a look at my Guardian contributor page, these articles are also normally reposted on my blog which contains other articles which tend to be more targeted at the machine learning and related communities.

For listening about machine learning check the Talking Machines Podcast.

With Piers Holden and Alessandra Tosi we launched a Gaussian Process meetup in Cambridge.

At Sheffield I used to lead the ML@SITraN group. The group’s research interests were in probabilistic models with applications in computational biology and personalized health.
