The Sorrento penisula is the southern end of the Gulf of Naples. The town of Sorrento is a popular tourist destination and provides easy access to Naples, Pompeii, Capri, Positano, Herculaneum, Amalfi, Ischia and many coves and beaches around the Sorrento and Amalfi coasts.
