Workshops
The “Learning and Inference in Computational Systems Biology” workshops have been running since 2007. A list of past, present and future workshops is given here. There is a volume from MIT Press documenting the work in this area.
Steering Committee
From March 2007 to September 2007 a thematic programme sponsored by the PASCAL FP6 Network of Excellence was run with the aim of
” … bridging a perceived gap between data driven computational biology models and systems biology models that are inspired by a knowledge of the actual underlying molecular interactions.”.
It was clear from the cross fertilisation of ideas that took place at the workshop that there was a great deal of scope for furthering research in this field through regular meetings of this type. With this in mind, a steering committee was formed to guide an ongoing programme of workshops. The steering committee was composed of:
- Neil Lawrence
- Mark Girolami
- Magnus Rattray
- Guido Sanguinetti
- Dirk Husmeier
- Michael Stumpf
- David Wild
- Lorenz Wernisch
The workshops finished in 2009.
